连篇累牍的典故

李愕；字士恢，隋文帝时任治书侍御史，很有辩才，文章也写得很好。他看到六朝以来的文章常常华而不实，决定上书给隋文帝，希望通过发布政令来改变当时文风。主意打定，他就着手去写。李愕的《请正文体书》终于写好了，他在上奏之前又看了一遍：书中从魏武帝、文帝、明帝说起，谈到了他们祟尚文辞，不重视为君之道，只注重文辞华丽的雕虫小技，下面的人跟着他们，在文辞华丽上大做文章，渐渐形成风格，给后世带来了恶劣的影响及危害，望当今皇上能出政令改变文风。，他觉得自己把要说的话都说清楚了，第二天，他就把奏章递了上去。

隋文帝阅了李得的奏章，不住地点头，当看到“连篇累牍，不出月露之形；积案盈箱，唯是风云之状”时，心想；李愕说得对呀，现在的一篇篇文章，一箱箱案卷，谈来谈去，都离不开吟风弄月，真是又长又累赘。这样下去，世俗无论贵贱贤愚，都去吟咏风花雪月，崇尚绔丽文风，追逐功名利禄，可怎么得了哇！于是他下令说：“把李愕的奏章颂示天下”。如以后写来的奏章再刻意注意文风，定严加追究。”
